September 26th, 2007 by veenachick

hey ya’ll…im on holiday now…monash had given us one week to finish up our reports and assignments before the big final.woohoo…yea..dets how we spend our holidays here in Monash. LOL. but yea..life is still fun with frenz and family…thanks for det God, if aint got em’….donno where i would be…haha.

Anyway…for such a long time I was hoping to watch Schindler’s List…a really really long time and what you know…i got to watch it recently and i am not afraid to say that it was the greatest movie of all time. Seriously guys…the acting…was awesome..direction…its spillberg man!what more can i say??and the storyline was as what i expected since I know the whole background of Oscar Schindler. For evryone who donno me…lemme me tell u guys one thing…I am totaly crazy over holocaust studies. I read many many books on them and did too many researches to be numbered here. Haha…yea…and thats why I loveee this movie so much. It potraits every moment of the holocaust so well untill the liberation. Everyone should watch this movie…at least for own general knowledge. It was like "the pianist" but better. Just great.

Well, now i am just doing my reports and assignments…as always.2moro will be heading to the cinema with my homies to watch chuck and larry…hehe.cant wait! and oh ya…plz don watch black sheep!i watched it in my pc and even i regreted!gosh…brings back bad memories of watching "sound of thunder"!!

Other than all this..hmm..lemme think. Few weeks back I volunteered to clean up the Kuala Selangor Nature Park with some of ma friends. It was a great experience…more than great i dare say. As a nature enthusiast, it was a heaven to me.The mangroves, the plants, the birds and the water….it was a dream came true for me. If you ask me…i would rather spend my lifetime doing sumthin wit nature and live ma life the way i want to!who knows..maybe i will. The only thing that was missing was my camera!arrrgghh! We cleaned up the mangroves and felt good about it..aint we guys???LOL.

God, i just realised, it has been ages since i listened to JJ and Rudy…gosh i missed them. Curse u monash!i don even have time for Hitz now.hahaha.ok now…im just crapping u see coz its 2 in the mornin.haha. and its mooncake festival again…reminds me of those times me and my frenz used to play lantern at the padang infront of the uni till 3 in the morn and went to class the next day lookin like totally stoned zombified people!!wahaha..miss u people!!hope to see u guys at the years end!!

The world is the same as it seems…as polluted…as populated…as crowed by cars..as lame…as it was few months back (words of a totaly negative character)..and u know wat…i aint all det. so in my eyes…the world can always be a better place with a lil help from each and every one of us. *angelic smile (LOL)

Ok now…mua is getting tired and sleepy.hehe..so till next time, nite nite kids. :P

Were You Born on a Cusp?

Capricorn/Aquarius
January 19 to January 23

Capricorn is the tenth sign of the Zodiac; Aquarius is the 11th sign. Those born on the Capricorn/Aquarius cusp are involved with and interested in social institutions. They want to make them work as they were meant to work. They are humanitarians and philanthropists, the visionaries of the Zodiac. Friendship is important to them, and they have many acquaintances, in addition to their close friends. These people are also ambitious and disciplined, determined and dedicated to achieving their goals. They are practical, realistic and cautious not to get in over their heads.

The astrological symbol of Capricorn is the Sea Goat. They start from the sea and ascend to the highest mountain tops, working their way upward with every step. While the path is not always smooth, their determination to succeed ensures they will persevere. The astrological symbol of Aquarius is the Water Bearer. Like the Bearer bringing water to his people, this sign brings new ideas to the world. It represents consciousness and the flowing of ideas. Capricorn/Aquarians work hard to bring their ideas to fruition, stubbornly refusing to give up their causes. This may appear as a Capricorn trait, but it is actually representative of the fixed quality of Aquarius. The cardinal quality of Capricorn is seen in their ambition and their willingness to embark on new projects. These people are independent and individualistic, within the world but detached from it. While they are peace-loving and friendly, they can be narrow-minded and overcritical of those not as ambitious as they are.

Capricorn is ruled by the planet Saturn. In ancient Roman mythology, Saturn (and his Greek equivalent, Cronus) was the father of many of the gods, including Zeus. Saturn is about discipline, hard work and responsibility. It rules both Capricorn and Aquarius; Capricorn is the feminine, or night aspect, and Aquarius is the masculine, or day aspect. Both signs are concerned with achieving goals through hard work, but Aquarians work hard to achieve their visions, while Capricorns use hard work to gain authority and social status. When the planet Uranus was discovered, astrologers assigned it as the modern ruler of Aquarius. It is from this planet that Aquarians receive their visionary nature. Uranus is associated with progress and technology — anything that is radical — and it rules electricity and astrology. Some Aquarians have genius that borders on insanity, and their progressive ideas and association with anything that is different makes them dissimilar from Capricorn. Although Capricorn/Aquarians are powerfully influenced by both Uranus and Saturn. Those born on this cusp are both unpredictable and unconventional, while being interested in upholding tradition and conservative belief systems.

The element associated with Capricorn is Earth. Earth Signs are practical: they tend to respond to the world through practicality. The element associated with Aquarius is Air. Air Signs are intellectual: they tend to respond to the world through intellect. Capricorn/Aquarius has fixed opinions and is eager to share and discuss them. While those born on this cusp are tolerant and broad-minded, they tend to stick to their beliefs. Their intellect makes them logical and self-confident, but it may also make them aloof from the people around them. They are original, offbeat and even eccentric, but they are also rather bored by detail. They are often business-oriented and can be extremely scrupulous. Reformist and experimental, they may also seem cold toward anyone who doesn’t share their intellectual orientation to life.

Capricorn/Aquarians are among the responsible and traditional sign combinations. They are generally reserved, careful and stable. Sometimes they may be overly critical, even bossy, but this is because they have a strong desire to achieve their goals, not because they are rude. In fact, they are generally polite because they understand that making enemies will not help them achieve anything in life. They tend to be multitalented, both in scientific and creative endeavors. They are unique and rebellious, driven to change the world. Their freedom is important to them, and they are often driven to help others become free as well.

In their leisure time, Capricorn/Aquarians enjoy competition with others. They enjoy both team sports and one-on-one competition. They are quite the social animals and often have a fondness for conversation, as long as it has intellectual depth and meaning. The great strength of the Capricorn/Aquarius is in their ability to set goals and keep working until they achieve them. Their ambition is inexhaustible, and they are not easily deterred when their goals are in sight. Their visionary nature makes them people who take the world to the next level; they make others see things in a new light. Their ability to break the rules and move beyond what others think is possible makes them one of the most innovative and hard working characters of the zodiac.

Somehow I find most of this soo true! But na, im not a supersticious person…

oh ya, HAPPY BIRTHDAY JOHNNY DEPP!!!you are so HOTT even at 44!

World without war, hunger, disease, global warming and ignorance..possible??u tel me

May 21st, 2007 by veenachick

Ok, lets face todays fact…we are living in this country..thinking about our own security and convinience and ignoring others. Yep, thats the truth. Most of us do not even go another step higher to solve a problem other than ours…no even one tiny winy step. This is embeded in us, we come in one package with this "selfishness", thats just us…humans. All is fine, u know..untill one day u might just face it on our own..and believe me…untill then we will be still blinded with our own life and leisures. huu..haa..scaryy…haha…well..wait n see i shall say to u all who are still ignorant. It is not that i have a wide open view on the world outside, im just like u all..but the difference is i got a statement to make about this issue.thats all…im still a selfish person, in a way of my own.

Lets come to the first issue…WAR..which is kinda big…and i am surely not a suitable person to talk about this…I GOT NO EXPERIENCE AND NEVER FELT THE PAIN OF THIS B4. yet..i have my say. During the time of our greatgranfathers and their fathers, war was something people do for living! hah!no war, no work!haha…for some i guess. other than det, its all caused by greed, wealth and land. U see, god knows we will end up this way one day or another.I would like to imagine det he is watching us on the battle ground with a pop-corn in his hand….and thinking what fools we are…just like when we went to cinema to watch some lame war movies..where heroes are born out of war…wel..i would like to say HEROES are the ones who try to stop wars!well…it doesnt matter anyway…its been like sooo long…and we r still fighting….

I admire the work of United Nations, but they are sometimes very hard to understand. Could not blame them also, as the whole world is ruled by money and economics and there is very little space left for peace keeping and other crap like this. We all think…oh yeah…UN will take care of it….but naa, war is still on…but we care no less.aight!its like some things in life are just meant to be that way, I do not believe God is lookin upon us anymore…he had enuf of popcorns and crappy war movies already! and me too!

I hateeeee war! i hatee to see others suffering and i really hateeee seeing using violence on innocent people to get something out of them! i hate all of them!!!! Many had just left the world to be like how it is….many are just being sooo ignorant and soo uneducated about this. and im soooooo unhappy about this. But hating is not gonna change anything…and so does keeping quiet. I believe rather than waiting for others to make a difference…why don’t we? oh ya…i forgot…we got not time and it doesnt matter! argggghhhhh….i hate this idiots more than anything!come to think of it..i might be one of them…i realy hope not.

For those who are taking actions, or even at least know whats going on out there…and even if they ever visited any website other than britneyspearsnaked.com (i simply put 1 ar…i donno it exist or not..don think nonsense!haha) or the needed websites they found when google-ing for their assignment answers….I RESPECT YA ALL!just plzzz…stop being sooo ignorant! life is not always about u…its about others too…u can’t juz be good to urself all the time and hope to reach heaven!at least get educated!malaysian education system sucks!really does…it gives out "ignorant-people" wannabes!i know…coz i went thru these irritating education system. I am gratefull and all..i know..some people do not even get good education…but i belive we do get good education and we need better since we have so much to offer…i believe great minds are born when they start thinking for themselves…not follow how people are asking them to think…!!!

To be continued…..(since i got a test 2moro…lol)

Past Present Future….the same old stuff

May 7th, 2007 by veenachick

Since small i always wanted to be someone…huh…now ended up to be a Monash-ian. hahaha…before all this i was just a small town senai gurl…with only one thing to be proud of…"oi…my kampung got airport u know..don play play" oh ya and my 30 minutes drive to Singapore using the nearest highway. Other than that, at that time many things sucked such as getting up early in the morn and catching the 6.30am bus to my kampung skool (I don sampan to skool k?!!), getting caught millions of times coz late to skool (which i always know how to get myself out of…lol), being forced to do kawat kaki even thou we were very very sure that our stupid Pandu Puteri team will be the last ever. Gosh…haha…and one thing sucked the most…my kampung skool’s headmistress! she is a total "u know what"! I would have got her back (im evil) but I came here for MUFY and din get the chance to meet her after SPM…In another life maybe…fingers crossed!

Well, not all things sucked…haha…i was just being over dramatic…knowing me!Except for my headmistress, all my other teachers had been soooo good to me. I was very close to them, i will be in the teachers room chatting and gossiping..haha…mostly bout other teachers. That was fun, knowing that teachers can be very very close and will be there is anythin is needed. Even now they still remember me when i go visit them…skool life wasnt that crappy after all..thanks to them. Studies was ok..like always..nothing to complain…hmmm….sooo little cute guys in my kampung..haha…and even more less cute guy teachers.

My small so called senai town is really small…i mean it.haha…everyone knows eachother and we r like a family. Miss home!Quite a place to stay..nice people, surroundings and cosy. When I was small we had a good piece of land infront of our house..where we kept chicken…(ok, im a kampung gurl..i know..don laugh), and we had soooo much of trees and fruiting plants. Now its all gone…thanks to the new road. Its more like an industrial place now…with all the oil palm and rubber plantation cut down. I will never forget the experiences before all this happend…it was good. Anyway, my skool is about 30 minutes from my home…so…i have to take the stupid bus there. haha..and I was a librarian…..and it was a hell tiring work!! and there were no nice books to read in my old library..all r textbooks!

Friends were good in high skool….quite geeky but nice people. My best fren is the sweetest…and the coolest…for me. Anime freak..good singer…sooo easy going…always looking on the brighter side of life. She is like the best ever. and hell no she not geeky at all….gosh..I miss u gurl!muax!Other frenz were close…sum are still there in my kampung and some went other places to study…like me.

During MUFY, the lecturers and friends are no different from one another. Life was wonderful in MUFY. can i do back MUFY please????haha….I had the closest bunch of frenz…we were like a family. Now sum of them r overseas…and i miss u guysssssssssss….!!!Monash sucks! thats all i can say…maybe one day i will learn to appreciate it…but not now…hell no. What happiness they get by giving us sooo much work and exams at the same time..and reducing the time…????is that fun?!!!but skills, yea i’ve learnt them…good enough for the future job market i guess…hope so…

Future is always sooooo unpredictable….i think thats the coolest thing about it. I will never wish to know the future..because if i do..life will never be meaningful. On the road of discovery, I would like to shape and mould my own path and see for myself where it leads me to. Who knows where I would be in 10 years huh? most probably still here …LOL..but yet again..who knows huh? So, for now..i have only the strength of my ambitions to push me to strive for the future and I think they r more than enough.Life is hard…so be harder…haha.

Its 2.27 am exactly now. 2moro my class is at 9 and im soooo sleepless.lol. thinking about johnny depp too much i guess…hahaha…miss home food, miss baby bro, miss my gang in senai and miss my boboi. hehe….nite nitezzzzz…

Wonderful Albinos…Special n Different

August 7th, 2006 by veenachick

Its very hard to take our eyes away from looking at an albino, they are rare, different and special. In a large crowd, they do stand up from the others and every inch of them are very different yet same from the person standing beside them. Many of us would have freaked out looking at an albino man, but I think that they are special and can be really pretty.

As you all know, albinism is caused by the lack of pigmentation on the skin of the subject which makes them look extremely pale (whitish pink for human and totaly white for animals sometimes). They have red or pink eye color and their hair also appears white.

Albino_2 This lil boy is an African but as you can see he does not have the pigmentation of natural African. He looks whitish pink and has totaly white hair. Pretty interesting hey?? It’s quiet rare to come across human albinos but it is said that the chances of getting face to face with an albino animal is even lower than in human population. So, the next time you see a albino bird, snake or cat..you must be damn lucky! I had never came across albino animals but surely seen albino people..mostly in shopping complexes..hehehe…

Albinoblarina This is an albino blarina, a type of shrew..so cute.

This is an albino chinchilla Shrew_1  haha…look like my tupai.. And these are gorgeous albino tigers….some have stripes

All these animals are so nice and kinda amaizing to look at. Not many albinos in Malaysia I guess…so hard to find one..sad…

Albinos are same like others too, but they are different in their coloration, thats all. They are not some kind of aliens or monsters or ghosts…especially among humans..we should stop discrimination against people who have albinism. They are just like us, or I can say..they are more beautiful and unique than all of us.

Ok you guys, I’ll end it here with few more pictures of albinos…bubyee [veEnA]

An actor who made me go “damn he’s excelent!”-Johnny Depp

July 11th, 2006 by veenachick

When it comes to acting, I am a bit fussy, when I see a good one, it will make me jump off my seat and I will be talking about it for ages, but when I see a bad one, damn, I will be cursing them till the end of my life. Well, I am not gonna waste my time talking bout the bad ones, I wanna talk bout one of my most favourite actor of all time- Johnny Depp 240186172!!!

When it comes to Depp, it comes to Captain Jack Sparrow aint it? Yea, he did an excelent excelent job in Pirates of The Carribean. But, looking back at his past acting, he did a great job too. From Nightmare On Elmstreet to Tim Burton’s Chocolate Factory and the Pirates of the Carribean, he had impressed me alot! He has this charming look which I cant take my eyes off (haha), but that is not all, when he acts, you have to notice those charisma, damn…You’Re tHe Man!478278314_1

Captain Jack, my favourite character in the Pirates, well I always fight with my sis for this, haha…coz she is crazy bout Orlando and I show lil interest in him and she tells me that Depp is a gay pirate!!! hahaha…naa he isnt, just his character is meant to be that way, and he is excelent in being one, drunk and crazy…whoaaa…mua impressed! Waiting for the Dead Man’s Chest!!! Gonna have a great time watchin it with my baby! Oh ya..and I juz heard that Dead Man’s Chest hit the boxoffice in juz 3 days in the US…I CaN’T WaIt to WaTch!!

68745417_1768857836With_hat 1104168406 Johnnydepp_2

Well, remember Edward? Edward Scissorhands? 1073953377 , I loved that movie when I was a kid..wish I could watch it again..all of his movies..I wanna watch them. Depp was born on 9th June 1963, so he is 43 this year, and he has 2 kids, a daughter and a son. Here is a list of movies he had acted in:

A Nightmare on Elm Street (1984)
Private Resort (1985)
Slow Burn (1986)
Platoon (1986)
Cry-Baby (1990)
Edward Scissorhands (1990)
Freddy’s Dead: The Final Nightmare (1991) (credited as "Oprah Noodlemantra")
Arizona Dream (1993)
Benny & Joon (1993)
What’s Eating Gilbert Grape (1993)
Ed Wood (1994)
Don Juan DeMarco (1995)
Dead Man (1995)
Nick of Time (1995)
Donnie Brasco (1997)
The Brave (1997)
Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas (1998)
The Ninth Gate (1999)
The Astronaut’s Wife (1999)
Sleepy Hollow (1999)
The Man Who Cried (2000)
Before Night Falls (2000)
Chocolat (2000)
Blow (2001)
From Hell (2001)
Lost In La Mancha (2002) (documentary)
Pirates of the Caribbean: The Curse of the Black Pearl (2003)
Once Upon a Time in Mexico (2003)
Secret Window (2004)
…And They Lived Happily Ever After (2004)
Finding Neverland (2004)
The Libertine (2004)
Charlie and the Chocolate Factory (2005)
Corpse Bride (2005)

I am a very big fan of his, he is a very talented actor..filled with expressions and alot of bold moves. Recently I watch "Sleepy Hollow" again after a long time and it amaized me on how he can be funny and assertive of his character at the same time..bravo! To add on, he had won many awards along the way too…and this is no surprise coz he deserves it very much indeed.

Ok then, France lost the cup, been their fans since I started watchin WC years ago, but I kinda doubt their capabilities after this as Zizou is gone and I don really know Henry can do it on his own or not…sad..so sad…those Italians!gerrrr!!! They got lucky this time! Its 3 am now, gotta sleep…nitez!!!-holiday ending in 4 days!!

No Idea What So Ever…on South Park

June 12th, 2006 by veenachick

I donno why I am blogging now, coz im suppose to be reading bio…haihzz…juz so tensed up with the finals and stuff…kk..im crappin again. 2 more papers to go..Bio and Sci…then holidays..yey!!!

So, as im bloggin..i should talk bout sumthin useful hey?? well lets see..what shall i crap about this time…hmmm…oh ya…South Park…and my addiction towards that series…wahahha.

Southpark These are the South Park kids..well they all look innocent, actually..most of the times they are not…but thats what fun bout these peepz..haha…funny crapperz. The show is juz total crap man…but i donno why i got so stuck to them…but some of them has moral values..seriously..its South Park havin moral values..haha..damn, life’s so complicated.

Lets sEricee now, Eric Cartman. Evil, Evil, and wants to annihiliate the Jews for  good, Evil. Most of the times he is Evil. I cant describe more. Haha. Adding on, his mom is a woman who sleeps with alot of men..(got it???)..but they are so into Jesus and stuff…complicating!

Kenny_3 This is Kenny, the boy who always dies. Done. Does not talk, nor can be understood. He juz dies at the end..what the heck…wahaha…and comes back the next episode. Oh ya..and he is described as hell of a poor boy struck by hell much of poverty.

Ok nKyleow…both here are best of frenz..the most rational character in the whStanole cartoon…i guess. Kyle is a Jewish boy and Stan is the normal kid. Kyle in green hat, is most of the time sensible and humble..same goes for Stan. As Kyle is Jewish, he gets discriminated alot by Cartman. Haihzz…

Well, great show actually…nice to watch…got me addicted..cute characters..open topics…sarcasm and hard critisisms delivered through the series by the writers. jUst GreAt!!!

Well then, time for me to get on with the Bio stuff again. Arrrgghhh….hate it!! No choice…Gotta go peepz…If can..watch South Park…the show can be very discriminative…but then…its fun..really…and hell lot of funny stuff in there that can make you burst out..seriously…

Catch ya all soon…maybe holiday time..chauz…
